Just beyond the town of Sisters, tucked against miles of untouched high desert terrain, The High Desert Hacienda unfolds as a private sanctuary shaped by heritage, craftsmanship, and the quiet rhythm of nature. With the Cascade Mountains rising in the distance and public lands steps away, this home offers not just shelter, but immersion into landscape, into stillness, into home.
Rooted in the spirit of hacienda architecture, the design embraces a rugged material palette - stone walls, hand-forged iron, reclaimed wood beams - paired with clean-lined cabinetry, soft plaster tones, and subtle marble accents. Every surface carries the fingerprint of the handmade: imperfect terracotta tiles add a weathered warmth underfoot, while hand-painted ceramics and artisanal details bring texture and soul to every corner.
The layout is intentionally simple, with a focus on flow, light, and rest. Thick, insulating walls carve out cozy interior volumes, while expansive windows and quiet thresholds frame long views in the ever-changing desert light. The home’s structure is both solid and soft, an interplay between primal, grounding elements and restrained, contemporary elegance.
In the heart of the home, living spaces open seamlessly to the outdoors, creating a connection between interior quietude and wild, untamed surroundings. Every detail has been curated to balance raw beauty with comfort, resulting in a space that feels both handcrafted and deeply livable.
The High Desert Hacienda is a space where old-world influences meet present-day simplicity, and where the feeling of home lingers, unhurried and lasting.
